Absolute lines up world premieres

Absolute will stage the world premieres of the Navetta 62 and 70 Fly (click for news) at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival (September 9-14). While the 70 Fly is the new flagship of the Flybridge planing series, the Navetta 62 joins the Italian shipyard’s Navetta series of high-volume semi-displacement flybridge models.

The two global debuts are part of Absolute’s provisional 11-strong Cannes show line-up, comprising six Navetta models (75, 70, 64, 62, 58, 53), four Fly yachts (70, 60, 56, 52) and a 48 Coupé, the inland shipyard’s first cruiser model. The Navetta 53 had its world premiere at Cannes last year and made its Asia debut at this year’s Singapore Yachting Festival.

The Navetta 62 continues the line’s evolution, featuring modular furniture in the aft cockpit on the main deck and aft end of the flybridge, while three guest cabins include two full-beam suites with en-suite bathrooms. Atmospheric, ambient lighting in both outdoor and indoor areas is a notable focus on the 18.7m motoryacht.

In terms of layout, the aft ‘cockpit terrace’ is again a social hub and includes an electrically-operated awning, while the modular furnishings can be set up for different. To starboard is an L-shaped wet bar that also incorporates a wing helm station. Port and starboard steps lead down to the bathing platform.

The side passages, illuminated by sophisticated concealed lighting, lead to a reimagined foredeck, where a C-shaped sofa faces a forward sunbed that can be set up with an aft-facing sofa, allowing guests to sit around an adjustable high-low table.

The large flybridge has a step-free teak floor, modular furnishings aft, an aft awning system with removable poles, while the hardtop includes either photovoltaic panels or an opening section.

Under the hardtop is an L-shaped dinette to starboard, while to port is an L-shaped wet bar with a barbecue, fridge and ice makers. Forward is a new-look helm station to starboard, joined to port by C-shaped companion seating.

Inside, the saloon has floor-to-ceiling windows and an aft galley to port that faces a dining table with electrically adjustable top. Forward is a C-shaped sofa to port that faces a cabinet equipped with a vertically sliding TV, forward of which is a raised helm station.

Accessed by a forward staircase, the lower deck includes three guest cabins. In the bow, the master stateroom has a forward-facing king-sized bed, bathroom in the forepeak, walk-in wardrobe aft of the bed, and floor-length curtains.

Midships is the full-beam VIP suite with a king-size bed and a bathroom to port, while the starboard guest cabin has a 1.9m-high ceiling and twin beds that can be joined to form a double. The aft crew cabin is accessed from the swim platform and can include one or two berths.

“The Navetta 62 retains the distinctive qualities that define Absolute’s proven formula for success: optimised internal spaces, effortless accessibility, generous headroom and ample storage,” Absolute stated. “Every detail of the yacht reflects Absolute’s hallmark quality and unwavering commitment to innovation.”
