All printing on the dial and the Glassbox’s signature flange (this time in beige with a 60-minute track rather than a tachymeter) is in black, while the remaining accents are 18k 3N yellow gold-plated on the applied indices and handset. The handset adds legibility in the form of black stripes down the center, as well as teal Super-LumiNova that matches the other dial accents.
While gold hands might be faithful to the Solunar design that this takes inspiration from, the richness of so much yellow gold on the dial feels a touch overbearing in combination with the paler lacquer on the dial. At the same time, I’ll admit the dial also feels strangely alluring, perhaps because this color combination is quite uncommon in this day and age. It’s a look that feels a little less easy to love compared to the ever-popular Skipper design, but at the same time, its specificity in reference will strike the hearts of some die-hard enthusiasts, and it is undoubtedly fun.
