Delta Yacht Zembra Will Embark on Adventures, With Globetrotting Family

Bearing the same name as an island off Tunisia, the yacht Zembra recently saw her hull and superstructure join at Delta Marine. Come delivery, her owners may not head to Tunisia, but they do have abundant journeys in mind.

Employing a hull form that Delta has used for several previous builds to 164 feet (50 meters), the yacht Zembra is a 152-footer (46-meter). Her lines, from the in-house Delta Design Group, lend an air of purposefulness, from her pulpit-equipped bow to her chiseled amidships sections. Her metallic bronze paint job further distinguishes her from more traditional white yachts.

Further to her owners’ intentions, the megayacht will carry an unusual assortment of support craft. No mere watertoys, they include an ICON A5, a two-person amphibious aircraft. Additionally, a three-person U-Boat Worx sub will sit on deck. Two cranes, one on the bridge deck and one closer to her transom, will hoist and deploy these. Additionally having a touch-and-go helicopter area, the yacht Zembra will, of course, carry more typical toys in dedicated stowage areas.

All of these details come from extensive discussions between the American owners and the shipyard. The owners have had multiple craft, from small boats to a modest superyacht, over the years. Additionally, they’ve taken some of the smaller vessels on ambitious trips in different countries. Therefore, these experiences helped shape the design and engineering of Zembra. In fact, they spent years envisioning what look, feel, and size would suit this next step in their cruising evolution.

Ultimately, a five-stateroom superyacht with the master suite on the main deck and a wheelchair-accessible guest stateroom was the way to go. So was incorporating an elevator to connect all of the decks, and a gym that can convert for alternate use.

The shipyard will reveal more details as launch draws closer next year. Delivery is set for next year as well.
