RMS, has launched automated invoicing and Advanced Payment Schedules, extending the capabilities of RMS Pay and strengthening its end to end cash flow automation for hospitality operators.
Advanced Payment Schedules deliver predictable cashflow through automation that operators control. Designed for properties managing high volumes of short stay transactions, including hotels, motels, holiday parks and serviced apartments, the functionality allows teams to configure payment rules around defined dates, rates and policies, then automatically trigger collection throughout the booking journey.
RMS manages receipt generation and reconciliation, while providing a clear dashboard for convenient management of failed payments. When payments don’t go through, teams have the visibility and control to manage the situation appropriately. For hoteliers juggling deposits, balances and constant payment chasing, this structure brings clarity and consistency. The result is fewer missed payment dates, clearer reconciliation and a more predictable revenue cycle.
Automated invoicing is designed to support properties that manage ongoing guest accounts, particularly those with a higher proportion of long stay accommodation, tenancy or rental agreements. This includes serviced apartments, build to rent and co living providers, holiday parks offering long term sites and workforce or corporate accommodation. Operators can set recurring billing schedules and automatically generate invoices.
Payments can be collected automatically via saved credit card tokens, RMS PayByLink or Direct Debit through a new integration with GoCardless integration. By automating everything from invoice generation to payment collection and reporting, RMS reduces manual administration, minimises missed payments and gives operators greater control over recurring revenue workflows.
Cameron Gough, Chief Product Officer at RMS, said: “Automated invoicing and Advanced Payment Schedules put operators back in control of their cashflow while stripping out the manual effort behind the scenes. With structured instalment plans, operators can make higher value stays more accessible to guests who prefer to spread the cost, while securing revenue earlier in the booking journey. Taking payments ahead of arrival reduces no shows, improves cashflow and removes friction from check in. When the stay is already paid for, guests are more likely to upgrade and spend more at the property.
“What was once complex and time consuming to manage is now automated and scalable. By embedding payment automation directly within RMS, we are giving hospitality businesses the confidence to operate more predictably and deliver a smoother experience for guests.”
All RMS customers benefit from Advanced Payment Schedules and automated invoicing. Operators using the RMS Pay gateway gain an extra advantage, unlocking full automation, including automatic card charging and secure RMS Pay by Link. Those not on RMS Pay can still generate schedules, with payments triggered manually through the Automated Payments Dashboard.
