Korean Air will officially open its newly renovated flagship lounge at Los Angeles International Airport on March 6, following a two-day preview event that drew approximately 200 invited guests, industry partners and stakeholders beginning February 26.
The lounge, located in the Tom Bradley International Terminal, represents a KRW 65 billion (US$44.85 million) investment and took 22 months to complete. It is also the first overseas lounge to be renovated ahead of the carrier’s pending integration with Asiana Airlines.
Designed by Singapore-based hospitality design firm LTW Designworks, the facility spans two levels and 18,030 square feet — 1.27 times larger than its predecessor — making it Korean Air’s largest directly operated lounge outside of South Korea. The First Class Lounge occupies the sixth floor, while the Miler Club and Prestige Class Lounge is situated on the fifth floor.

Floor-to-ceiling windows and a balcony terrace offer panoramic views of the terminal interior, while the interior design draws on natural light to reflect what the airline describes as the energy of Los Angeles. Warm wood textures, premium stone materials and curated Korean artwork — including Buncheong ceramics, brushstroke ink paintings and traditional moon jars — anchor the aesthetic in what Korean Air calls “modern Korean luxury.”
The First Class Lounge offers two private suites, à la carte fine-dining with made-to-order dishes, and a full-service bar with handcrafted cocktails prepared by professional bartenders. The Miler Club and Prestige Class Lounges feature an open-kitchen live station concept with locally inspired offerings, including Southern California craft beers and a signature Los Angeles coffee blend. Miler Club passengers can order from a dedicated menu via QR code directly from their seats.

Additional amenities include dedicated business areas, family seating and premium shower facilities. The lounge will be accessible to eligible Korean Air passengers as well as premium travelers on SkyTeam partner airlines.
“With the opening of this flagship lounge, Korean Air will further elevate its presence at LAX while delivering a more refined and differentiated premium travel experience,” said David Pacey, executive vice president and chief of in-flight service and lounges at Korean Air. “We will continue to invest in our services and infrastructure to exceed the expectations of our global customers.”
LAX serves as Korean Air’s primary North American gateway and a connecting hub between Asia, the United States and Latin America. The airline says a newly renovated lounge at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport is slated to open later this year.
