Lazzara LMY 165 Yacht to Become New Flagship, Simplify Maintenance Too

Rather than just offer a 12-person megayacht model in its Lazzara Motor Yacht Series, Lazzara Yachts wants the attention of owners, their project managers, and their crew. It’s created the Lazzara LMY 165 yacht to tick the boxes for aesthetic appeal, long-range cruising, and mechanical simplicity.

Bearing a sharp bow and plentiful curves, the 165-footer (50-meter) cuts a contemporary profile. Glass railings rim the uppermost decks, where loose furnishings can welcome sunbathers and everyone for lunch. Other decks reflect both the stylistic features today’s buyers prefer and how they like to live while cruising, too. It’s especially apparent at the water level, where you’ll find the fully open beach area. A glass-fronted swimming pool sits integrated within the deck, for instance. Built-in, aft-facing seating looks out over the pool and beyond to the horizon. The hull sides fold down as well, accommodating sunlounges. Fully forward, meanwhile, the Lazzara LMY 165 yacht’s elevated foredeck invites the owners and guests to take a seat and enjoy the view. It further becomes a sunbathing spot at anchor.

Throughout the interior, buyers can tailor the rooms and the staterooms for 12 as they wish. Lazzara Yachts and its parent company, Euro Marine Group, can design it. Speaking of Euro Marine Group, its president and CEO, George Chirakadze, designed a sea-chest system that will also be aboard the superyacht. Notably, it received a U.S. patent last year. The system relies upon one unit for all seawater intake and discharge. Simultaneously, it’s integrated within the steel hull, thereby eliminating multiple through-hulls cut into the structure. Equally noteworthy, maintenance can take place with the Lazzara LMY 165 yacht remaining in the water.

In an interview last year, Chirakadze says he developed the system after seeing a yacht sink due to water intrusion via through-hulls. It reflects where he believes yacht building and shipbuilding equally are heading.

In further related news, Lazzara Yachts is offering a trade-in program for the new flagship to entice qualified buyers.
