I’m back! After a couple weeks off the rotation, I have returned to cross words with you, dearest puzzle solvers. It felt like the depth of summer back then. Now summer is slinking off and autumn is rushing in, cool and a little wistful.

Well this went very quickly for me. Just 33 seconds. It started out super easy with a Rock, Paper, Scissors clue, which I suppose might be tough if — somehow — you’d never played that game or heard of it before. I’ve never seen Mr & Mrs Smith but I know it stars Brad Pitt and Angelina JOLIE. The rest kept falling into place. What a time to be ALIVE and dress up like a DEVIL. I tossed in EXEC and had finished all the words before even looking at the Down columns.
