A Look at the French Hotels Where The White Lotus Season 4 Could Be Filmed

Which White Lotus will we check into next? It seems the next welcome brigade might be saying “bienvenue” to greet a fresh round of guests. (Who will likely respond with blank stares because, of course, they cannot speak French.)

Season four of The White Lotus will be heading to France, according to Deadline (HBO declined to confirm this information, while the Four Seasons did not respond before the publishing of this article.) This would mark a return to the continent of Europe for the beloved murder-mystery; season two previously ventured to the Italian island of Sicily and San Domenico Palace, Taormina, A Four Seasons Hotel. Four Seasons has partnered with the HBO series every season so far to provide the lodgings, although season three also shot at a few Anantara properties.

Back in April, Condé Nast Traveler editors weighed in on which Four Seasons hotels might and should make a strong setting for next season—now, it’s time to see if any of our previous guesses were near the mark.

There are three Four Seasons properties in France, each distinct in location and vibe. Two occupy terrain thus far untrammeled by The White Lotus—one in urban Paris, another in a ski resort town near the borders with Switzerland and Italy. The third and likeliest sits near, although not on, the sea along the French Riviera, but be mindful that Mike White said earlier this year: “For the fourth season, I want to get a little bit out of the crashing waves of rocks vernacular.”

With the Four Seasons reigning as the de facto home of the series wherever it may shoot, let’s take a look at their French holdings.
