Airstream has its eyes on more than just trailers.
The RV maker is partnering with urban mobility company Tern for a new line of electric bikes. The exclusive Vektron S10 and HSD P5I, which are based on existing models, are designed to make getting around the campground (and beyond) easier.
Airstream may have spent much of the last century helping people take their home on the road, but it also knows that its trailers are sometimes just the base location for an even bigger adventure. As nice (and comfortable) as the Classic, Globetrotter, and Flying Cloud may be, they’re not where you should be spending all of your trip.

That’s where the limited-edition Airstream bikes come in. Do you need to grab ingredients for dinner? Hop on the bike and see what they have at the camp store or market. Do you want to venture off the campground without having to pack up your campsite? You can leave your tow vehicle behind while you venture off on your two-wheeler.
But different campers need different things from their bikes, which is why Airstream and Tern have teamed up for two models. Both are available in the camping brand’s signature Aluminum Silver and feature Bosch performance drive systems that allow them to reach speeds of up to 20 mph.

Up first is the Vektron S10, easily the more convenient of the two bikes. It’s a fold-up model that doesn’t sacrifice performance. It can be set up or broken down in mere seconds, and easily fits inside your trailer or tow vehicle. Then there’s the HSD P5I, which is a compact cargo bike. It can’t fold up, but it is equipped with a full-size rear platform that can be used to carry camping gear, groceries, or even a small child.
Interested in bringing an e-bike along on your next camping trip? The Airstream-edition Vektron S10 and HSD P5I are available to buy now. The fold-up model costs $3,649, and the cargo bike at $5,099. They can be ordered online or picked up from authorized Airstream and Tern dealers.
