Custom Line 50 is Custom Line’s new flagship displacement yacht and first entirely in aluminum. It represents a strategic and design milestone of major importance for the brand. As the brand’s debut in the aluminium yacht segment under 500 GT, it gives rise to the new Aluminium Alloy line. This series joins the well-established Navetta and Saetta lines. With an overall length of 49.9 meters and a beam of 9.6 meters, the yacht develops over four decks. It additionally introduces construction and layout solutions typically reserved for larger vessels.
The project results from a collaboration between the Product Strategy Department, headed by Eng. Piero Ferrari, and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department in Ancona. The exterior lines bear the signature of architect Filippo Salvetti. Naval architecture and interiors are by ACPV Architects, featuring fully made-to-measure solutions. The shipyard’s project team and the Custom Line Atelier supported the owner at every stage, from contract signing to delivery. This therefore helped the client’s vision into a coherent and highly customized project.
One of the most distinctive elements of Custom Line 50 is the deck entirely for the owner. This, in fact, is an unprecedented choice for this segment. The 75-square-meter owner’s suite is forward on the upper deck and features large floor-to-ceiling windows, direct access to a private terrace, and circulation paths completely separate from those of guests and crew. Ultimately, this ensures the highest level of privacy. Overall, the yacht offers more than 800 square meters of livable spaces, including 324 square meters of outdoor areas, with a volume usually reserved for larger yachts.
The layout prioritizes a strong interconnection between interior and exterior spaces. The extensive use of curved and mirrored glazed surfaces contribute to an effect of spatial dematerialization. This continuity finds one of its highest expressions in the two-level beach club, integrated into the main deck and completed by a flush infinity pool that creates a direct visual relationship with the sea. The area extends over approximately 120 square meters and is convivial and multifunctional, suitable for different times of the day.
The interiors reflect a refined material research. You’ll find a consistent use of Canaletto walnut, leather, marbles like Crema d’Orcia and Calacatta Oro, and warm, neutral tones. The three-dimensional quality of the surfaces and the artisanal attention to detail help define a sophisticated, timeless aesthetic, fully aligned with the brand’s values.
From a technical standpoint, Custom Line 50’s propulsion system includes two 1,081-kW Caterpillar engines. They enable a top speed of 16 knots and a range of approximately 4,500 nautical miles at 10 knots. The yacht is IMO Tier III certified thanks to the adoption of the SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system for NOx emission reduction. Overall, particular attention goes toward energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
Custom Line 50 thus stands as an advanced synthesis of design, engineering, and customization. It sets a new benchmark in the segment of displacement superyachts under 500 GT and reaffirms the brand’s ability to reinterpret naval tradition through a contemporary lens.
