The massive wellness haven at Fairmont La Hacienda Costa del Sol, located in Cadíz, Spain, has just opened its doors this week. And you get to indulge in all the pampering on its menu with a rather unbeatable view: sweeping mountains vistas on one side paired with stunning sights of the Mediterranean Sea on the other, the only spa in the region to show off both.
The new space took cues from the body of water for its design, inspired by the serenity of the changing tides. The spa is bathed in light, dotted with neutral tones, natural textures, and minimalistic design. That sense of relaxation, of course, extends to its practices; the new opening offers up a slew of facials, including a 24-karat-gold age-defying option, by the minds at Subtle Energies. 111Skincare is on the roster, too, with treatments including a reparative facial and a depuffing energy facial. If you’re on the hunt for the ultimate rejuvenation experience, try out one of the spa’s two-hour “Journeys,” with include many comprehensive features like a full-body massage, a full body exfoliation, and a atoning detox wrap.
Elsewhere, you can also explore the spa’s hot and cold immersion pools, high-power jet whirlpools, two hammams, a sauna, a steam room, and a Turkish bath. If you’re feeling like you need a good stretch, head to the indoor yoga studio—or, better still, the alfresco yoga terrace—or pop by the cardio lounge.
Fairmont La Hacienda Costa del Sol made its debut on the hotel scene earlier this year, marking the hospitality brand’s flagship in Spain. The resort offers up 311 rooms, suites, and villas—each villa comes with its own pool and terrace. Fairmont is also serving up five dining spots to try out during your stay, including a restaurant helmed by Michelin two-star chef Benito Gómez using locally sourced ingredients; the hotel even has its own private beach club if you’re in the mood for a livelier atmosphere. The property is nestled close by two golf courses, so heading to the links is very easy, too.
A 50-minute restorative aromatic massage at the Spa at Fairmont La Hacienda Costa del Sol starts from about $140 (€120), while facials start from around $150 (€125).
