Feadship Yacht Project 829 Ready for Outfitting: Sunday Superyacht Video

Nearly three years into her build, the Feadship yacht Project 829 is yielding the first hints at her lines.

As it does with all of its contracts, Feadship had the steel hull and aluminum superstructure created at its subcontractors’ facilities. Following their joining, the superyacht made her way under tow from Rotterdam for the next stages. Over the coming months, Feadship’s craftspeople will install everything from piping to wiring and technical systems. Similarly, the framing and installation of the interior will begin.

As for that interior, no one associated with the Feadship yacht Project 829 can disclose details just yet. In fact, Feadship itself only can reveal her LOA, which is nearly 271 feet (82.5 meters), and the above-mentioned hull number. However, given her dimensions, it wouldn’t be surprising to find accommodations for more than 12 in the owners’ party.

Regardless, examination of the profile reveals a few potential features. Large hatches fore and aft could signal tender garages, for instance. Similarly large hatches inset with windows quite likely are part of a beach club. They’ll either lift up or lower down over the water to create an indoor-outdoor experience. One of the most intriguing features, though, is the area immediately over the main aft deck. The center is open, like a cutout, directly above what may be a pool.

The designer behind these and other amenities remains unknown. Some media have speculated that Harrison Eidsgaard, which previously collaborated with Feadship, is responsible.

Currently at Feadship’s yard in La Kaag, The Netherlands, the megayacht is tucked inside a shed. She’ll remain that way until launch, which should be next year.
