Fleetwood Mac’s catalog is so popular that the band typically appears on multiple albums charts with several titles. That’s uncommon for most legacy acts, as landing one win is tough enough, let alone managing a pair (or more) every frame. Rumours is a constant favorite, as is the band’s Greatest Hits set, which pulls heavily from that blockbuster set. This week in America, both full-lengths are trending down slightly, but one hits an important milestone on the biggest albums ranking in the country.
Greatest Hits Reaches 350 Weeks
Greatest Hits reaches 350 weeks on the Billboard 200, which ranks the most-consumed albums in the United States by blending sales and streaming activity. That kind of longevity is reserved for titles that listeners return to again and again, which typically are filled with beloved singles, as those rack up sometimes millions of streams every week in the United States.
Joining Rumours in the 350-Week Club
Only two Fleetwood Mac albums have hit 350 weeks on the Billboard 200. Greatest Hits joins Rumours, one of the longest-charting titles in history, which is up to 648 frames as of this stint.
One Other 100-Week-Plus Charter
Beyond those two juggernauts, just one more Fleetwood Mac release has managed triple-digit weeks on the Billboard 200. Fleetwood Mac — the group’s second self-titled set from 1975 — collected 170 weeks on the tally before stepping aside.
Where Greatest Hits Sits This Frame
As Greatest Hits reaches 350 weeks, it slides eight spaces on the Billboard 200 to No. 108. The compilation also dips a handful of spots on both Top Rock Albums and Top Rock & Alternative Albums charts, settling at Nos. 23 and 26, respectively.
Rumours Still Fills Multiple Tallies
Rumours appears on half a dozen Billboard lists this frame, easing on all of them but maintaining impressive placements for a nearly 50-year-old album. It sits at No. 23 on the Billboard 200, No. 37 on the Top Album Sales list, No. 24 on the Top Streaming Albums tally, and No. 20 on the Vinyl Albums roster.
On the genre rankings, it holds inside the top 10 on both Top Rock Albums (No. 4) and Top Rock & Alternative Albums (No. 5) charts.
