Skye Pets Set to Launch Pets-In-Cabin U.S. Flights in 2026

Global in-cabin pet charter service Skye-pets.com is launching U.S. flights in 2026, taking bookings from New York and Los Angeles to London, Australia and New Zealand.

Expanding its global network in 2026, the international pet flight service will launch its first London–New York route in March, with prices starting from $8,990. This will be followed in September by services between Los Angeles, Melbourne and Auckland, with fares from $26,990.

Founder of Skye Pets, Joanna Maddison calls this milestone “a pivotal step” in the brand’s expansion. The founder said, “It means we can offer pet owners in North America the same peace of mind Australians have been experiencing since 2023.”

Founded in 2021 by Maddison, the company was born from a deeply personal challenge, trying to move three large huskies overseas without consigning them to cargo holds. She explained, “We looked at every option, from ocean cruises to overland journeys through Asia and Europe, but nothing felt safe or feasible. That’s where the idea for Skye Pets came alive.”

The company’s existing network connects major global hubs, including London, Singapore, Dubai, Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland. In 2026, Skye Pets will introduce services from New York, alongside September flights from Los Angeles to Melbourne and Los Angeles to Auckland. These new routes are expected to support increasing movement between North America and the Australia Pacific regions. Being able to connect the U.S. mainland with Australia & New Zealand without the need to travel via Europe is a big milestone and something that is not done in the shared private charter space, this has gained much interest with pet parents.

Each flight is a fully private charter, operated by licensed carriers, where pets travel in the cabin alongside their owners. There are no breed or size restrictions, and the journey begins in private terminals, free from queues, crowds, and layovers.

“We focus on making the experience as calm and straightforward as possible for pets and their owners,” Maddison said. “For many of our passengers, it’s the first time traveling long-haul with their pets in the cabin has been possible.”

“We’re seeing year-on-year growth because more people now know they don’t have to put their lives on hold or leave their pets behind, with flights often selling out months in advance” Maddison added.

In the four short years since launch, Skye Pets has helped hundreds of families relocate with their pets, earning a reputation for exceptional care, personalized service, and seamless end-to-end travel experiences. Demand continues to climb, with many flights selling out six months in advance.

With a growing fan base of over 32,000 on Instagram, including millions of viewers who tuned in to a recent feature by aviation vlogger Sam Chui,  and a loyal community of pet lovers, Maddison believes Skye Pets is setting a new global standard. “This isn’t just transport,” she noted. “It’s about ensuring families start their new lives together, without fear or compromise. We’re raising the bar for what pet relocation can look like.”

Skye Pet Travel is a public charter operator. It is not a direct air carrier and does not own or operate any aircraft. All flights are operated by licensed air carriers.
