Do you ever wish you had a better way to track your jewelry collection? The Jewel Journal from Carat & Chain is the clever solution you didn’t know you needed.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when Lucy of Carat & Chain, a UK-based independent jewelry brand, reached out to ask if she could send me a “jewelry-related product” as a gift.
I thought it would probably be a jewelry travel case or ring dish – both things I love! – but the reality turned out to be so much cooler and more innovative.
It is my pleasure to introduce you to Carat & Chain’s jewelry collection tracking notebook, The Jewel Journal!

The perfect organization solution for my fellow Type-A jewelry lovers, The Jewel Journal is filled with useful templates that help you track your jewelry collection and wishlist.
Above is an example of a Jewel Journal collection tracking page: You can see it has space for the piece’s source, a description, a checklist to mark how the piece was sourced (gift/self-purchase/etc), a photo or sketch, the date acquired, the specifications, any hallmarks and engravings, and even a space to record any repairs that the piece requires over time.
And see the little notation that says “Piece No. 3” at the bottom? That correlates to the Jewel Journal’s sticker inventory system.

That’s right: this fantastic notebook even includes custom gold stickers that let you build your own inventory management system.
Simply fill out a sticker with the number that correlate to each piece’s page in the Jewel Journal and then stick that sticker onto the corresponding jewelry box. Voila! You’ll be able to tell what everything is without even needing to open the boxes.

The Jewel Journal also helps you keep track of jewelry that you want but don’t own yet.
Turn to the Wish List page and you’ll find a template that lets you keep track of pieces you’re working towards purchasing, with built in spaces to makes notes on how much the piece costs, how much progress you’ve made in saving for that financial goal, and how badly you want each specific piece.
Isn’t that wonderful?? Such a good idea to help us collectors keep track of the treasures we already own and the aspirational pieces we’re working towards.

The Jewel Journal is available from Carat & Chain.
I received a copy of The Jewel Journal as a gift, but my opinions remain my own.
