Two Hamilton Resident Evil Requiem Limited Editions

Hamilton is more than a steady provider of Hollywood movies. The once-American, now-Swiss brand is also active in the video game industry. It started with the Khaki Field Titanium Automatic in Far Cry 6, and later, the American Classic Boulton appeared in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Then, last year, the 38mm Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 debuted. Now it’s time for two Hamilton special editions linked to Resident Evil Requiem — a Khaki Field Auto Chrono as worn by Leon S. Kennedy and a Pan Europ as seen on the wrist of Grace Ashcroft, both characters in the very popular game. Both watches are limited to 2,000 pieces worldwide. Are you game?

The Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic “Call of Duty: Black Ops 7” of last year is still fresh, but ready or not, there’s a new duo of gaming watches ready to play. Hamilton teamed up with game developer Capcom, and that led to characters Leon S. Kennedy and Grace Ashcroft each wearing a Hamilton watch. Leon S. Kennedy, a federal agent working for the Division of Security Operations (DSO), a counterterrorism agency under direct presidential command, wears a Khaki Field Auto Chrono. Analyst Grace Ashcroft wears a Pan Europ. Let’s first look at the latter watch.

Analyst Grace Ashcroft’s Hamilton Pan Europ in Resident Evil Requiem

Resident Evil Requiem will debut on February 27th, which is also the release date of the two Hamilton limited-edition watches. The Pan Europ on the wrist of the brilliant analyst Grace Ashcroft strikes a contrasting tone that reflects her intelligence and analytical nature. A gold line runs down the center of the strap against a black backdrop, while the 42 × 11.9mm black PVD steel case shows geometric detailing. The gold rehaut and numerals on the bezel insert reinforce the “gold and noir” contrast. It’s meant to convey a sense of both power and refinement, and I think that played out well.

The black dial shows a circular-brushed finish, applied black indexes, and gold-colored Super-LumiNova. Additionally, the hour and minute hands, positioned underneath the sapphire crystal with an antireflective coating, received a touch of that luminous material. Inside the 50m-water-resistant case beats the automatic H-30, a 25-jewel movement featuring a day-date function, an 80-hour power reserve, and a Nivachron balance spring.

Agent Leon S. Kennedy’s Khaki Field Auto Chrono

The steel 42 × 14.5mm Khaki Field Auto Chrono Resident Evil Requiem Limited Edition on Leon S. Kennedy’s wrist looks both rugged and refined thanks to the black PVD coating. Kennedy’s combat experience inspires its details. For instance, the crown is shaped like a sniper-scope adjustment knob, while the pushers recall bullet cartridges. Under the sapphire crystal with an antireflective coating, the dial features a black wing at 9 o’clock. The watch is complemented by the emblem on the case back, which represents prayers for the fallen.

The chronograph with a 20mm lug spacing comes on a black, synthetic strap with a tactile structure. You close the strap with a no-nonsense H-pin buckle. The case is water resistant to 10 bar (100 meters), and since this is a ready-for-action chronograph, the hour and minute hands, as well as the indexes, received a dose of Super-LumiNova. You will find the chronograph sub-dials at 6 and 12 o’clock and a day/date indication at 3 o’clock. The different functions get their power from an H-21 automatic chronograph caliber featuring a Nivachron balance spring. This 26-jewel movement offers a 60-hour power reserve, matching the stamina of a well-trained agent and a hardcore gamer.
