The owner of the yacht Legacy 4 celebrated her launch today at Codecasa, during an event attended only by invited guests and the shipyard staff. She’s been just over two years in the making, the latest in a successful series from the shipyard.
Construction began on her, as Hull F81, in 2023. She’s a Codecasa 57 project, meaning her LOA is 57 meters (186 feet). Like many of the builder’s other projects, the Codecasa 57 series carries a strongly flared, sharp bow. The series further prioritizes long, leisurely cruising. According to the yard’s calculations and the performance of previous deliveries, the yacht Legacy 4 should be capable of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. Her top speed, meanwhile, should be 17 knots under light load.
When her owner begins cruising in several weeks, up to 11 more people can come on the voyages. The yacht Legacy 4 has a traditional interior configuration, with five staterooms below decks for friends and family. Six cabins for 12 crewmembers are below decks, too. Further in keeping with tradition, the captain’s cabin sits adjacent to the wheelhouse. The master suite occupies prime space on the main deck, for privacy and waking up to some of the best views aboard. An elevator makes it simpler for everyone to access the areas they want, including the sundeck.
Although no additional information is available about the décor or the materials, the designer Tommaso Spadolini worked closely with both the owner and the shipyard. In fact, Spadolini designed the interiors and the alfresco areas.
Since the Codecasa Ugo facility in Viareggio is where the yacht Legacy 4 has undergone construction, she’ll remain there through sea trials. On a related note, the Codecasa Ugo yard gets its name from Udo Codecasa, one of many generations of Codecasa family members to run the company.
