Yacht Project Moonlight Enjoying Her Maiden Voyage

Conrad Shipyard’s foray into semi-custom megayacht construction continues. Just as the builder quietly celebrated the launch of the yacht Project Moonlight late last year, it has quietly handed her over to her owner.

The yacht is hull three in the C144S series, with an LOA of 145 feet (44.27 meters). It’s the same series that produced the yacht Extra Time in 2024, in fact, and which has its roots in the custom yacht Ace from 2023. The series’ customers benefit from stylish, flowing lines from Reymond Langton Design and naval architecture from Diana Yacht Design. Of course, they can select an interior designer to ensure their vision becomes reality. The owner of the yacht Project Moonlight (who has requested that the name remain withheld) has an affinity for the work of Nauta Design. The Italian studio collaborated over the past few years with the owner and the shipyard. Nauta Design additionally executed the look and feel of the alfresco spaces. Although images of the interior aren’t available, the ambience is light and airy. It especially emphasizes indoor-outdoor living and togetherness.

For instance, a handful of interior lounges are purposely in proximity to alfresco lounges and dining areas to feel seamless. At the waterline, the yacht Project Moonlight has a traditional beach club, a true expression of a waterside lounge. It’s an ideal spot to simply sit and enjoy the peacefulness of an anchorage, for example, or to watch family and friends take turns with the watertoys. (The owner selected two waterbikes and several Seabobs. A 21-foot/6-meter tender is further in the toy garage.) Additionally, some of the purely outdoor areas help support camaraderie. Particularly notable is the deck area that transforms into a cinema under the stars. A pool and two bars offer equally social and welcoming places to relax in good company.

With a crew of nine and an owner’s party of 10, the yacht Project Moonlight has several ports to visit in the coming months. She’s capable of a 4,500-nautical-mile range at 10 knots, too.

Conrad Shipyard continues to field inquiries about its C144S superyacht series. It suits buyers seeking a sub-500-gross-ton project from a Northern European yard. Currently, hull number four is available, capable of completion within 24 months.
